Independence Day Parade

Bethany, Oklahoma 7/4/09

Getting ready for an Independence Day parade... 17
Gotta get it just right .... 18
Done! 21
Old Glory is the decor of the day. 24
A Hawk, a Bulletnose, a Lark and a Champ Pickup all dressed up but nowhere to go ....
They said to show up at 8:30.  The parade was supposed to kick off at 10:00.
25
Passing the time of day ... 19
Still waiting. Ten o'clock has come and gone ...

Let's see what other interesting cars are on hand.
28
This Chevy has a V-6 teamed with a modern automatic transmission. Reportedly the combo slips right in and uses the old motor mounts! 29
Plymouth on the outside, Buick chassis and 455 cubic inch V-8 on the inside. 30
A splendid '48 Lincoln Continental.
Yeah, it's got a twelve.
31
Hey, we're moving out! 32
Pull up a curb and enjoy the show. 33
Hurry, kids, grab that bubble gum! 34
The parade route was long and lined with a big crowd of happy spectators. It was a dandy July 4th celebration and, to top it off, also a fine venue for International Drive Your Studebaker Day! 36
