One of my trips to Albuquerque coincided with the 2005 Balloon
Fiesta. These pictures include both a lunch trip I took during lunch
as well as an evening trip.
My Photos
I bought a digital camera - the Kodak EasyShare CX7330 - in March 2005 in preparation for Scott and Michell's wedding, but also to chronicle some of my hikes in Arizona. Unfortunately, Arizona has been cursed with several rainy weekends, so my hikes have been curtailed. However, I hope to chronicle some of my life in the Sun Valley for those caught in different climes and worlds.
Sadly, while I would normally take photos of my work place, security restrictions prohibit me from doing so. So, no pictures of my cubicle (which looks so much different than any other cubicle).
I took a short trip and walked around downtown Glendale, which has a
small concentration of antique shops and a fairly pleasant walk.
Scott Brown, my college roommate, married Michell Ward on March 20,
2005. I had the good luck of being able to see them, and since I was
entrusted with the duty of reporting all the details of the event to
my mother, I wrote a short travelogue of the trip.
South Mountain Park is a huge city park (supposedly the largest in the
world) just to the south of Phoenix. I traveled along the National
Trail to Hidden Valley, a small valley nestled within the
mountains. The trail is mountainous and typical of the Arizona desert.
Tecolote Trail is 8,000 up in the Sandia Mountains and was the first
trail that I visited when I came to Albuquerque. These photos were
taken April 30, 2006.
The Trinity Test Site was the site of the first explosion of a nuclear
device. I visited it on April 1, 2006.
Wet Beaver Trail is an unusually green trail for Arizona, two hours
north of Phoenix, next to Sedona. Visited on March 26, 2005.
